If you have an official certificate recognised by the Language Policy Secretariat, you do not need to take any test.

Within each enrolment turn, applicants are attended to by order of arrival. Enrolment in a course closes when the maximum number of places available is reached. If you bring the certificate after the enrolment started, you will be able to register when the CPNL has validated it if there are still places available and if you are still within the enrolment deadline.

You have to take a test before the enrolment process, except:

• If you have taken a general course at the CPNL.
• If you don't have any official certificate of your Catalan level.
• If you have taken a test in the past two years.

Enrolment in a course closes when the maximum number of places available is reached. If you ask to take the test after enrolment has started, will only be able to administer it to you if there are hours available to administer it. Once we send you the result, you will only be able to enrol if there are still places available and if you are within the deadline.

Relevant information:

• The aim of the placement test, which is valid for a maximum of 2 years, is to assign each student to the most appropriate course according to their level. The result of the test is not considered a language qualification.
• The placement test is taken before enrolment and is either administered online or in person.
• The result of the test is valid for a maximum of 2 years and under no circumstances can serve as certification of Catalan knowledge.
• A person who has taken a placement test of and wants to take another one has to wait at least 60 days.
• Having taken a placement test does not guarantee that there is a place available in a course.
